Ducati Panigale V2
In the world of superbikes, Ducati is a well-known name for their Performace based motorcycle & in most Ducati motorcycles which are on sale the company uses their L-Twin Dual cylinder engine which is different from the conventional V-twins.
“Its been since 1960 Ducati having primarily used V-twins engines in all of their Sports as well as touring motorcycles”
But still, there are some disadvantages of using these type of engines when compared to the inline-four engines which are more powerful and refined when compared to any V-Twin Dual cylinder engine & to overcome these problems and to compete the current generation four-cylinder motorcycles in the market Ducati has come with their all-new V4 Desmosedici Stradale engine which is derived from the Desmosedici MotoGP racing engine.
It was not the first time when Ducati is offering its Desmosedici V4 engine. In 2006 the Ducati has produced a limited edition Ducati Desmosedici RR with only 1500 units for sale it was claimed to be the first true road replica from a MotoGP racing bike.
On the other hand, Panigale V4 is the best Ducati can offer on a road-legal Supersport machine. Design is the key point of the motorcycle. There is no dought that the initial design elements were taken from the previous generation Panigale 1299 motorcycle but when we compare both of them the V4 looks wider and bolder. The older version of Panigale uses the engine as a primary element of the frame but in the new Panigale V4 there is a completely new front frame which is an aluminum perimeter frame & all these changes are done without much change in weight and body dimensions which shows the use of lightweight material in the motorcycle.
The heart of the motorcycle is loaded with the 1103CC V4 engine with 4 Desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder it produces 214Hp power @13,000RPM which is one of the most powerful mass-production motorcycles in the market. To control this amount of power Ducati has equipped the Panigale V4 with top of line electronics like Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2 which offers a faster smoother intervention with greater vehicle stability on high speeds. There is also Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO with Auto tire calibration.
Ducati has made this motorcycle more powerful and Rider friendly with all the modern tech features and electronics package Panigale V4 has made its different place in the market with a V4 engine which is close to the MotoGP driven motorcycles.
Ducati has done good work in terms of power & design. The Panigale V4 & V4S is one of the most premium supersport motorcycles which is available in the market with a price tag of 22K dollar for standard version & 29K dollar for S version which is loaded with some extra accessories. If you are looking for a standout motorcycle from the crowd to Inline 4 the Panigale V4 is one of the best options with a more powerful engine than conventional Inline four & that`s why Ducati always offers somewhat costly product but with some unique character from all the other Motorcycles in the market in this category.
