Ducati MultiStrada 1260 & 1260 S
Ducati Multistrada is an adventure touring motorcycle with a lot of capability to handle on & off-road condition which makes different from all the other motorcycle in the market. It was first introduced in 2003 to compete with the dual purpose motorcycles like BMW GS, but at that time Multistrada is not specifically designed for the off-roading. It is equipped with the 992CC V-twin engine with air cooling and only 2 valves per cylinder. It was more committed to the super-moto concept with a sport-tourer concept.
It`s been a long since Ducati has done many more changes in their current generation Multistrada which is more refined and known for its aggressive performance with an elegant design. Starting from the front, the placement of headlight is done in a way that looks integrated into it the front fairing with a slight curve in the design it makes more aerodynamic to wind blast which occurs at high speed. The radiator is placed on top of the engine which ensures a better airflow for cooling the hot running engine. The midsection got a slight curve according to the seat with proper leg hold space for standing riding position. The rear section completes the design of the bike with the v-shaped taillight. The TFT screen offers all the basic and advance, data in one click which makes it more rider-friendly.
The Multistrada is not designed for hardcore off-roading conditions as BMW 1250 GS & Triumph Tiger 1200. The Engine on this motorcycle is capable of doing triple digit speeds with track days without any dought and in that section, this motorcycle excels when compared to other ADV motorcycles. The electronics are the main advantage which is offered by Ducati in this bike because it comes with on-screen customization options with four riding modes and much more. The electronically adjustable suspension is the plus point that handles Multistrada very well in most riding conditions.
The Multistrada 1260 is a touring bike but not made for the extreme off-roading experience but if you are looking for a touring motorcycle with a sporty performance also used for some track days and Best in class design then Ducati Multistrada 1260 or 1260S is perfect for you.
