The design of monster 797 looks somewhat old school when compared to Monster 821. Starting with the front of the round headlamp with a small visor on top reminds me of the original Monster from Ducati. Most of the design elements especially the tank look much more identical to the original old school monster.

Monster 797 is a small-sized bike compared to Monster 821. The wheelbase on monster 797 is 45mm smaller compared to the monster 821. The overall dimensions are way smaller when compared to the monster 821 but it also makes it more user friendly when it comes to riding & handling for most of the riders including who is a bit shorter in height.

The Ducati monster 797 is the entry-level motorcycle from Ducati in their Monster series of motorcycles. The Monster 797 comes with an 803cc of  engine which produces only 73 hp of power which is very less when we compare it to the Monster 821 which produces 109 hp of power with its 821cc of engine. Another big difference is the valves per cylinder which play a big role when it comes to power delivery. The Monster 821comes with 4 Desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder, while monster 797 gets only 2 Desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder. There is some disappointment in the engine section compared to the price.

The monster 797 is a good motorcycle for a person who is new to riding. The compact design with its lightweight body makes it easy to ride in heavy traffic. If you are looking for a Street sports bike with less power but good on looks with Ducati brand name, then Monster 797 is the motorcycle for you.
