 It was in 2013 when BMW announced its first sub 500cc motorcycle with TVS Motor Company. Like KTM Duke 390, which is designed in Europe by Austrian brand KTM and made in India in a partnership with Bajaj Auto. BMW K03 was the code-name given to the first collaborative product of TVS-BMW. It was a test bike that was developed in India and sent to Germany for further testing and modifications.

The BMW G 310 R is the compact street bike featuring the smallest engine on offer by BMW Motorrad. For power generation, the street bike uses a 313cc engine developing decent power and torque output. Suspension set up will comprise of upside-down telescopic forks in front and adjustable monoshock placed at the rear.

BMW G 310 R is powered by a 313 cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine which makes 34 bhp of maximum power at 9,000 rpm and peak torque of 28.4 Nm at 7,500 Rpm. The suspension consists of upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. Braking is handled by a 300 mm disc with a four-piston fixed caliper at the front and a 240 mm single disc with a single-piston floating caliper at the rear wheel.
