It was in 1993 when Ducati launched its first Monster M900. After launch Monster brand has become the most popular brand for the naked streetfighter category & it’s been a bike that not only spawned an entirely new category of naked street bikes but also saved Ducati from imminent bankruptcy. The Ducati Monster is the largest selling Ducati model because of its Muscular looks and exposed engine with a steel trellis frame, it looks simple but attractive. Ducati Monster is designed by Miguel Angel Galluzzi and produced by Ducati in Bologna, Italy, since 1993.

The current generation model comes with a 1198CC Dual cylinder L-twin engine which produces 147hp of power & 124Nm of torque. The new Monster 1200 & the 1200S are equipped with all the essential electronics & modern features.

Monster 1200 also comes with Ducati Safety Pack comes as standard with the Monster 1200. This safety pack comes with an ABS and an eight-level Ducati Traction Control (DTC). DTC levels are factory pre-set in each of the three riding modes.

Design is the most important element in Ducati Monster. The big red tank with 16.5 L capacity offers a range of 230-240km with full fuel of tank. In the front, the round headlamps with the instrument cluster on top look like a crown on the head. The long & simple handlebar offers easy riding posture with a little reverse sided footpegs Monster 1200 feels comfortable to ride in the city. The nicely sculpted fuel tank, round headlight flanked by the forks and dual exhaust makes the Ducati Monster 1200 stand out from the crowd. The monster 1200 is a beautiful machine with a strong on-road presence because of its simple but strong built design it is still one of the most popular naked street motorcycles in the market. But when compared engine there is some setback due to the L-Twin engine. Most of the street bikes are now equipped with inline-four engines which are more refined and easy to tune for more power. However, the second generation of Testastretta 11* DS engines are smoother and with dual spark plugs and a secondary air system, it ensures complete combustion in a very short time.
